I am back and surprisingly blue!

I got a fancy new blog! Very exciting stuff indeed, it's all pretty and blue! I realise it has been a long, long time since I have uploaded on here, and I am going to try and get back into the swing of things once again. First, I need to finish what I started and upload all the really old sketches I was uploading, so I'm gonna do them in big chunks now.
A strange vicar and what appears to be a robot Lincoln. And a cow. And Ghandi. A biker, maybe? And a punk man with a little girl. Of course, this all makes perfect sense, but you cannot understand it because my brain is just so complex. Mere mortals stand no chance at comprehending my... oh who am I kidding, it's nonsense!

I think I was watching TV at this point and drawing random people I saw. For some reason, this includes the polar bear from the Birdseye ads and those annoying aliens from Argos. Why do they even have aliens as their sponsored creatures in the first place? A polar bear for frozen foods makes sense, but aliens for a catalogue based retail merchant? What?

More television doodles, I think. Well, some of them. I think that is definitely an attempt at Barney from How I Met Your Mother down the bottom there, and I think the woman next to him may have been drawn from some random television reality show? Oh, and those two bald guys in the middle are drawn from the same biker dude who was possible in jail at the time?

A little bit of foreshortening

Foreshortening! The devil of life drawing! Rah!
This is one I am proud of though, so it all worked out well

One session 1/2

She seemed sleepy.
Trying to be a bit weird with colour, and all I really managed was a strange zombie creature....

This is one of two parts....

More Lifedrawing 07th September

Her body gets smaller as she goes up (or does it get bigger as she goes down?) and her foot is a little ... yeah. But it's not that bad...

I am about to make a cup of tea, apparently...

More life drawing, all from the 7th September.
Here, the woman is saying: "Yeah, I'm naked. What of it? Go make me a cup of tea..."

Actually, that last thing is actually being said by my girlfriend right now, who is nudging my waist with her empty cup....

7th September Back to life drawing for a while

Here we go back to some lifedrawing for a while. Now here we are in September, and I just started a new life drawing class, meaning I won't have any of the old classes anymore. So no more 'life drawing with a difference'...

Final life drawing of faeries

I've uploaded two at once here, the last two life drawings of this session, mainly because the first drawing isn't that great.
Story next? Um, let's see...

Two faeries are fighting over a baby, because the want to eat it (apparently what faeries used to do). Eventually, all the fighting proved exhausting so they all had a sleep.

Personally, I don't like the first picture. The second one is kind of nice, but there is no weight in the figures on the first. It doesn't look like they are pulling at each other at all, just kind of standing there. I can't remember if the models were actually pulling at the time or not...

Life Drawing Faeries again

Here, a faerie is saying "Where did I put my new iPad? Did I leave it over this wall?" Then she leans over the wall, with her knee up, and says "Ah, there it is! Over there, in that field..."

Life Drawing

Another faerie.
Here, the faerie has found a penny on the floor. He is homeless and broke and cannot even afford clothes, so naturally he bends down to pick it up.

I liked the shadow cast by this pose, but failed in getting it to look right....

29th August Life Drawing

29th August. Abit sketchy - Life Drawing with a difference.

The next few life drawing pages will be 'faerie' themed. Basically, all models had body paint and huge wings, and at one point they fight over a baby to eat. Then they get tired and sleep. You'll see.

This story begins with a woman, who lies on her bed and thinks "Why must I be the model? Why can't I be a truck driver instead?"
Sorry love, wings don't fit in a truck. Now stop moving so I can draw you....

First Page of life drawing...

Some life drawing. Most of this sketchbook is quite old, so there will be a definite grade of improvement as we go along. Please bear with me, they will improve!

She had a tattoo, if you were wondering.
